If you want an adult Halloween night that stays in the house instead of spilling onto Sixth Street, start with Halloween party entertainers in Austin who come to your door, then build the costumes and the playlist around that arrival.
I’ve been booking Halloween in this city since long before the site went up in 2007. The groups that have a good time are not the ones with the most inflatables. They’re the ones who picked a room, a start time, and a guest list that still exists at 10 p.m.
Clear a floor before you hang the cobwebs
Halloween clutter eats a private show. A fog machine in the only doorway. A snack table in the middle of the rug. Furniture shoved into a horseshoe so tight nobody can walk through it. That’s how you get a performer working a two-foot gap between a couch and a TV.
Leave a real lane from the door to the center of the room. Move the coffee table. Park the fog by a window, not the entrance. If you’re in a suite downtown, dump coats and extra costumes in the bedroom so the living room stays open.
Lighting is simple. Overhead glare is ugly in person and worse on a phone camera. Lamps, string lights, a couple of pumpkins. You want faces you can see and a room that still looks like a party.
When the show should knock
Do not have entertainment arrive with the first guests. People are still in the garage, still pouring the first drink, still arguing about the playlist. Give the group 45 minutes to an hour in the room. Coats off. Photos done. The person the night is for actually present.
Then the doorbell. That’s the beat that makes Halloween feel like a night instead of a costume meetup. Reverse it and the set happens while half the group is still in an Uber.
Same-day calls happen. I will not pretend I can hold a slot you have not booked. Friday and Saturday of Halloween weekend in this city go first. If your date is locked, call with the address and the start time. We’ll tell you what’s actually free.
Guest count is the number that matters
Six people in a suite is one performer and a living room. Twelve is a different night. Past ten, two entertainers is the usual call so the room does not stall while one person works a circle of friends who all want a photo.
Count the adults who will still be there at show time, not the group chat maybe list. Halloween parties leak. People drop in. People leave for another house. Plan the show for the core group sleeping in that rental.
We book female and male entertainers, and mixed pairs when the room wants both. Say which on the call. Halloween is already a costume night. The performer can match that without you turning the living room into a prop shop.
East Side houses versus downtown hotel floors
A house east of I-35 or a South Congress rental gives you a kitchen and sometimes a yard. That’s nice until neighbors are still walking dogs at ten. Keep the music inside. Put the show in the living room with the blinds down, not on the patio facing the street.
Hotel suites downtown and around Rainey are easier on parking and tighter on space. One living room, a door that opens to a hallway, a front desk. Confirm the hotel’s adult-entertainment policy before you put a deposit on the room. I cannot run that call for you from here.
Party buses are a third animal. The set is short, the ceiling is low, and nobody is sitting still. If the group is bar-hopping, that’s the move. If you want a full set, stay in the suite.
What I need when you call
Date, start time, address or hotel name, how many adults will be in the room, and whether you want female entertainers, male entertainers, or both. If the group is shy, say so. If the group is loud, say so. Those are different bookings.
Write a simple run of show so the host is not improvising at 10 p.m. Guests in. Drinks. Photos. Show. Then the house can get loud again. If you want a bartender in the mix, that’s a separate conversation. Do not try to run a full bar and a show in the same six feet of carpet.
Costumes can stay small. Witch hat, black dress, devil horns from a party store. Leave the eight-foot wings in the closet. You want photos. You also want a performer who can walk through the room without taking a cardboard scythe to the face.
If the house sits on a street that stays busy with trick-or-treaters, start later. Let the sidewalk quiet down. Close the blinds. Then run the night you actually wanted. Kids’ hours are not your problem if this is a 21+ house, but they are if your porch light is still on.
I do not need a mood board. I need a date, a time, and a room that still has a floor. If you want two performers, say the guest count first. I will tell you if one person can hold it or if you are wasting money on a second body in a room that cannot turn around.
Downtown versus East Side is not a vibe question. It is a door question. A hotel corridor is public. A house on a quiet street is not, until you put the speaker on the porch. Keep the show inside. Keep the music inside. You can open the place back up after we leave.
Call (737) 346-6333. Hot Party Stripper has been taking these nights since 1989. I’ll tell you what the room can handle.
