Halloween weekend in the Lehigh Valley is a house product. Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton fill with groups who rented a place and then tried to invent a night. Start with the living room. The costumes can wait.
I book this stretch of Pennsylvania from the same desk as Philadelphia. A house in Bethlehem is not a Center City suite. Tell me which. Halloween 2026 is a Saturday, so the same calendar that hits the city hits the Valley.
Rent the house for the night, not the block
Short-term rentals in Allentown and Bethlehem look great in photos. They also come with house rules. A lot of listings ban events, ban extra guests, or ban both. Halloween looks like an event even when it is ten friends and a speaker.
Read the listing. Check occupancy. Check parking. Check whether the door opens onto a shared hallway or a quiet street. If the listing bans parties, pick another address before you pick a performer.
Neighbors matter more here than they do in a hotel. Keep the music inside. Put the show in the living room with the blinds down, not on a deck facing the next yard. Fog on a porch looks fun until the wind takes it next door.
Costume night that still leaves a floor
Witch, black cat, devil horns, a cop hat. Small, cheap, and you can sit down. Match the group enough that it looks like a night, not a random mix of leftover boxes. Same color story helps: black and gold, all witches, all cats.
The entertainer will read the room. If everyone is in a giant foam hat, the show has nowhere to stand. Leave a lane from the door to the middle of the room. Move the coffee table. Use a bedroom as the coat dump.
Lighting is lamps and string lights. Overhead glare is ugly. You want faces you can see and a room that still looks like a party, not a warehouse.
Bachelor, bachelorette, or just the house
Some Valley groups are a bachelor party that happened to land on Halloween. Some are a mixed house. Tell me which on the call. Female entertainers are the usual ask for the guys. Male entertainers are the usual ask for the women. Both work this market.
Guest count is the real number. Six people is one performer and a living room. Past ten, two is the usual conversation so the room does not stall. Count the adults who will still be there at show time. Halloween parties leak. People drop in. People leave for another house.
Give the group 45 minutes in the room first. Coats off. The guest of honor actually present. Then the knock. If you reverse it, the show happens while half the group is still parking on a side street in Bethlehem.
Bethlehem is not Easton
A brick house near the steel stacks is a different door than a newer rental on the edge of Easton. I need the town. I need the street. If the group is splitting between a campus apartment and a house, pick the house. The show does not bounce.
College weekends and Halloween Saturday stack on top of each other in this valley. If your people are coming in from Philadelphia, say that on the call. That drive after midnight is the night unless everyone sleeps there.

What to have ready
Date, start time, the actual street in Allentown, Bethlehem, or Easton, guest count, and male or female. “The Valley” is not an address. Travel gets quoted up front.
Have a bathroom the performer can use. Have one person at the door. If there is a dog, put the dog in a bedroom. You have to be 21 to book. Private parties are 21+.
