The part of the night groups never think about is the arrival, and it is the part that decides how the rest of it goes. A performer who walks into a room where nobody knows she is coming, the music is off and eleven people are looking at their phones has to build the whole thing from nothing. The same performer walking into a room that was ready gets forty-five minutes of momentum for free.

Three things make that difference, and none of them cost anything. Have one person — not the guest of honour — ready to answer the door. Have the music already playing rather than someone scrolling for a playlist while she stands there. And have the space cleared before she arrives, not while she is watching you move a coffee table.

She will text your contact from nearby rather than knocking blind, so you get a couple of minutes of warning to get the room where you want it. Use them.

Give us the date, the start time and the address, and we will tell you within a few minutes whether she is free. Miami weekends fill early, so if your date is already fixed it is worth calling as soon as you have it rather than waiting until the week of.

If she is booked we will say so on the call, not substitute somebody quietly at the door. That is the difference between an agency and a referral service, and it is the reason we still take the bookings ourselves. The rate is quoted up front for the whole time block, so nothing gets renegotiated once she arrives.

Hotel suites, private homes, Airbnbs, boats and rented venues all work. A clear area about six feet square is enough, plus somewhere private to change. Mention any gate code, doorman or front desk when you call, and make sure everyone in the room is 21 or over.
