If you’re putting a bachelor weekend in Kansas City, lock the house or the suite first, then book Kansas City strippers for a private hour that doesn’t depend on a bar staying open.

I’m Sean. I’ve booked this work since 1989. KC weekends fail when the plan is “we’ll figure it out when we get there.” They work when the groom has a bed, the group has a living room, and the show has a door.

Sleeping arrangements are the weekend

Downtown hotels are easy for out-of-town guys. You can walk to Power & Light, you can walk back, you don’t care about a driveway. A house in Lee’s Summit or Liberty is better if you want a yard, a grill, and eight guys who snore. Airbnbs need the private-entertainment line in writing. If the host says no, that’s a no. Don’t try to sneak a performer past a camera on the porch.

Split rooms on purpose. The groom should not be on a couch. The guy who has to drive Sunday morning should not be in the loud room. This is boring. It is also how Sunday doesn’t feel like a crime scene.

Daytime that isn’t a waste

Barbecue is not a personality, but it is lunch. Do it early. A brewery tour on Southwest Boulevard is a fine afternoon if the group can handle a tasting without turning into a problem. Cigar lounge after if that’s the groom. Then you go back. You do not “keep it going” until nobody wants food.

If the guys want cards, add a poker dealer before the hour, not instead of it. Cards fill the gap. They don’t replace the chair in the living room.

Night out, then home

Westport or Power & Light. One. Early. The private hour is the point of the weekend, not a rumor you might get to. I’ve watched too many grooms spend their night in a vestibule waiting on a friend who “knew a guy at the door.”

When you get back, the room is already set. Chair. Lamps. Path. Playlist until we take over. Then it’s yours again. That’s a weekend, not a crawl that ran out of ideas.

Both sides of State Line

We book Missouri and Kansas. Downtown, Crossroads, Westport, the Plaza-adjacent hotels. Overland Park, Olathe, Lenexa, Leawood, Shawnee. North Kansas City, Independence, Lee’s Summit, Liberty. Put the actual city on the quote. “KC” is not an address.

Everyone 21+. I don’t care if the groomsman is “responsible.” If he’s 20, he isn’t in the room.

What I need on the quote

Date, city, hotel or house, male or female entertainer, how many people, and whether the groom knows. Surprise is fine. Ambush in a tiny studio is not. Tell me if it’s his first time. Tell me if the group is quiet. I match the hour to that.

I’ve danced for 22 years. A bachelor weekend is logistics with a party attached. Get the logistics right and the party is easy.

Food, cards, and not losing Sunday

Barbecue at 2 p.m. beats barbecue at 10 p.m. when nobody can taste it. Pick a place, pick a time, be there. Then you have a brewery or you don’t. Then you go back to the house. The weekend is not a food tour with a rumor of a show.

If the guys want cards, set a table that isn’t the kitchen island covered in bags. A dealer keeps it moving. The hour still happens in the living room, not over the felt.

Sunday morning needs a plan too. Checkout, a ride to KCI, a groomsman who has to be at work. Don’t schedule the private hour at 1 a.m. if four people have a 7 a.m. alarm. I’m happy to do late. I’m not happy to do late for a group that’s already gone.

Grooms who don’t want to be the center of the room still sit in the chair. The group can be the energy. He can laugh and be done. Tell me that. I’ll keep it from becoming a roast.

Crossroads, River Market, downtown, Westport hotels, Kansas-side houses: all fine. The quote needs one address, not a tour.

Grooms who hate being the center of the room

Plenty of them. The chair is still his. The group can be loud. He can laugh and be done in a song. Tell me that on the quote so I don’t run it like a roast. There’s a difference between a send-off and a hazing, and I only do one of those.

If his dad is there, say so. If his brother is the problem, say so. I can work with a mixed-age living room. I can’t work with a surprise I should have been told about.

Two-night weekends: do the hour Saturday, not Friday when people are still flying in. Friday is dinner and a short stop. Saturday is the point. Sunday is checkout and a lot of water.

If you’re mixing bachelor and bachelorette groups in one rental, that’s a different night. Tell me. The hour changes when both groups are in the room.

We book the Kansas side and the Missouri side the same. The weekend guide is the door, the food, and the hour. Everything else is decoration.

The website’s been up since 2007. If you’re building this weekend on purpose, talk to Hot Party Stripper and request a quote. We’ll take the hour. You take the rest of the night.
