If you’re taking a Kansas City group to a lake house and you want the night on the deck, not in a bar down the road, put the address on the quote and book Kansas City party entertainers who travel to the lake.

I’m Sean. I’ve booked private parties since 1989. Plenty of KC groups skip downtown for a weekend on the water. Lake of the Ozarks is the long drive. Smithville and Longview are the close ones. All three only work if the house can host and the performer can find the driveway in the dark.

The listing is the first yes or no

Read the house rules. If it says no events, no parties, no extra vehicles, that’s not a maybe. Pick another house. If it allows gatherings, still write the host or the manager and ask about private entertainment. Cameras on the porch are common. I will not argue with a doorbell that uploads to an app.

You need a living room or a covered deck that isn’t also the only path to the bedrooms. You need a bathroom the talent can use. You need parking that isn’t a grass slope after rain. Lake houses look huge in photos. Measure the actual room you’ll use.

Drive time is part of the show

From Kansas City, Lake of the Ozarks is a real drive. We’re not “in the area.” Tell us the address early so we can confirm we can get there for your window. Smithville and Longview are easier. Don’t surprise us with a pin drop at 6 p.m. for a 9 p.m. hour three hours away.

Someone at the house has to be sober enough to meet the car, open a gate, and not wave from a dock. “Just come down to the water” is how people stand in gravel on the phone.

Day on the lake, night in the house

Boats, sun, food, fine. The hour is after people have showered and put on a shirt. Sunburned, sandy, half-asleep groups are a bad room. Eat. Dry off. Then we come in. Then you can go back to the deck.

Neighbors on the water hear everything. That’s not me being delicate. Keep the guest list to the people sleeping in the house. Lake weekends go bad when five extra cars show up because someone posted the address.

What I need on the quote

Date, full address, how far it is from KC, hotel-vs-house (it’s a house), male or female entertainer, headcount, 21+. If the road is gated, send the code. If the last mile is dirt, say so. I’ll tell you if we can do it. I won’t pretend.

Everyone 21+. A lake house with a 19-year-old cousin “just hanging out” is still a no.

Don’t make the lake the club

We’re a private show in a house. We’re not walking a dock. We’re not getting on a boat. If your weekend is all marina, book dinner and skip me. If your weekend is a house with a door, we can do the hour.

I’ve danced for 22 years. Water weekends are some of the better rooms when the group is the people who rented the place. They’re some of the worse rooms when the house turns into an open invitation.

Close lakes vs. the long drive

Smithville and Longview keep you in the metro. You can still work Friday, drive, and be on a deck before dark. Lake of the Ozarks is a weekend. Don’t treat it like a long lunch. If people are arriving at different times, the hour waits for the house to be the house, not for the last jet ski.

Winter lake houses are a different animal than summer. We’re talking party season and shoulder season here: people still on the water, or at least on the deck. If the house is all stairs and no heat in a bedroom, say so. I’ll tell you if it’s a bad room.

Boats stay at the dock during the hour. I’m not coming aboard. I’m not walking a marina in shoes that don’t belong there. House. Door. Chair.

Bring more food than you think. Lake stores close or they’re a drive. A hungry group gets sloppy, and sloppy on a dock is how weekends end early.

If two couples rented the house and then invited “a few friends from KC,” send me the real headcount. I’ll tell you if the living room can take it. A great lake photo is not a capacity plan.

Who should not be on the guest list

People who weren’t invited to sleep there. Lake houses turn into open invitations because the photos look big. Cars on the grass, a neighbor on a golf cart, music on the water. That’s how you get a knock, and that’s how I leave.

Kids don’t belong at this hour. 21+ means 21+. A lake weekend with families in the next unit is a reason to pick a different house, not a reason to whisper.

If the rental is a party compound with multiple houses, tell me which door. “The big one” is not a pin.

Bring cash for things the lake charges for that you forgot: ice, bags, a second run for ice. I’m not quoting HPS numbers here. I’m telling you the weekend dies on logistics you thought were cute.

We travel from Kansas City when the address and the window are real. If they’re not, I’ll say no. That’s better than a car on a dark road for a maybe.

The website’s been up since 2007. If the listing is a yes and the driveway is real, talk to Hot Party Stripper and request a quote. We’ll tell you if we can make that lake.
